CALLING EVIL GOOD

The world endeavors to advance the idea which suggests that the accepted normalcy of any act or practice is determined by what is either endorsed or tolerated by the populace affected by the same. Listen please, that rationale elevates man as the standard of right or wrong, good or evil – a position he cannot and does not occupy (Proverbs 14:12; Jeremiah 10:23; Isaiah 55:8-9).
“Well”, says one, “why not?” Here is the answer. God through His inspired word, has legislated the boundaries of acceptable human behavior, boundaries beyond the purview of men to either broaden or restrict (I Corinthians 6:9-10; Galatians 5:19-21; Ephesians 5:3-6; et. al.). And to ensure that men understand that compliance is absolutely mandatory, God issues a clear warning that runs throughout the Bible that He will not tolerate any additions or subtractions to His word (Deuteronomy 4:2; Proverbs 30:6; Revelation 22:18-19).
The world, rebellious toward God (Luke 19:14), has marshaled its forces to vigorously press its program of ungodly acts and practices as common, and even in many cases, the preferred way of life. To a large degree, they have been successful.
I) ABORTION is called reproductive freedom. Those who advocate the killing of the unborn march under the banner of pro-choice. What does that mean? Simply this – that women must have the lawful right to terminate the innocent life of another human being without penalty. Those of us who pleadingly (yet clearly) warn that God hates the shedding of innocent blood (Genesis 9:6; Proverbs 6:17; Revelation 22:15), are labeled as against the rights of women. Now, if by that they mean being against the rights of women to determine whether an unborn child lives or dies, I AM AGAINST THAT RIGHT!
The world can call that evil good all it wants, but it still is and always will be murder in the sight of God.
II) HOMOSEXUALITY is merely a different life-style. The deep aversion to this ungodly practice has forced its supporters to make every possible attempt to win acceptability in our society. Where outright approval is not feasible, they seek to gain at least tolerance for their unnatural sexual practices. Their militant tactics have successfully opened previously closed doors, enabling them to spread their sphere of influence to include the classrooms of our children, the politics of our country, even religion has not escaped their nauseating practices as they seek to persuade men that homosexuality is good and right.
Friends, regardless of how vocal or adamant homosexuals are about their preference, God has already spoken in unmistakable terms that such ungodly practices will damn the soul:
“For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind (a mind void of judgment), to do those things which are not convenient” (Romans 1:26-28).
“And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemning them with an overthrow, making them examples unto those that after should live ungodly” (II Peter 2:6).
“Even Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cites about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire” (Jude 7).
“If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them” (Leviticus 20:13).
