It Is Written

 Out flashed the sword of the Spirit: our Lord will fight with no other weapon. He could have used other weapons, but He chose to say, "It is written." There is a power in the Word of God, which even the devil cannot deny.

 The Hebrew writer declared, "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart" (Heb. 4:12).
