Gossip
Tom Moore
Gossip is like a coward. It doesn't have the courage to face you, so it does it behind your back to achieve its end.
Gossip is like a shallow mind. It tries to impress you by pretending to know things.
Gossip like muddy water. The more you stir, the muddier it gets.
Gossip is like a poisonous snake. It will strike you without warning.
Gossip is like a lying tongue. It thrives on rumor and half truths.
And remember, “A perverse man sows strife, And a whisperer separates the best of friends” (Proverbs 16:28), and “He who covers a transgression seeks love, But he who repeats a matter separates friends” (Proverbs 17:9).
Please note as well that we are not even to listen to a gossip, “An evildoer gives heed to false lips; A liar listens eagerly to a spiteful tongue” (Proverbs 17:4). Gossips need an ear - do not give them one.
