Elders
Barney King (center) has lived in the Ashland area all of his life and currently works in maintenance at TCI automotive. He also helps his wife, Betty, run a flower shop and catering company in Hickory Flat, Mississippi. In addition to his responsibilities with the church, and his job, Barney serves as a volunteer firefighter in Benton County. Barney and Betty have two sons and one grandchild.
Jeff Roberson (left) has lived in the Ashland area all of his life and currently cuts and sells survey stakes. Jeff enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. Jeff and his wife, Wendy, have one son currently serving in the armed forces and one daughter attending college.
Carrol Street (right) is retired from working in the Knoxville, Tennessee area and enjoys gardening, woodwork, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He has previously served as an elder in two other congregations: The Kannapolis church of Christ in Kanapolis, North Carolina and the Karns church of Christ in Knoxville, Tennessee. Carrol grew up in the Ashland area and returned upon completion of his career to enjoy retirement. He and his wife, Annette, have four daughters, one son and several grandchildren.

Preacher
Jeremy Northrop was born in Dallas, Texas and reared by godly parents in the Kansas City area. His father is a gospel preacher and his mother teaches Bible classes and is active in other ways with the church. Jeremy holds a B.B.A. degree from Freed-Hardeman University with majors in business management and vocational ministry. He also holds a M.A. degree and a counseling certificate for church leaders from FHU. He began preaching while in high school and has preached regularly since 2000 serving congregations in Tennessee and Mississippi. In addition to serving as a missionary in Kiev, Ukraine, Jeremy has also made mission trips to Jamaica, Latvia and several places in the U. S. He is married to the former Shawna Shaver and they have two children, J. T. and Kaylee. He can be reached at jnorthrop@ashlandcoc.org.
